Not at all. Our Primary Program is designed for dancers of all experience levels, from beginners to those continuing their training. For more advanced dancers, placement in our Pre-Professional Program or Company is determined through an evaluation process to ensure they’re in the right environment to grow.
Do we need prior experience to join WCDC?
Every dancer’s journey is unique. Our team will help guide you through program options to ensure your child is placed where they can thrive. Younger dancers often begin in our Primary Program, while dancers with advanced skills and a deeper commitment to their craft may be placed in the Pre-Professional or Company Program.
How do I know which program is the best fit for my dancer?
Absolutely. WCDC is built on a culture of support and belonging. Our faculty prioritizes creating a safe, encouraging space for dancers to build confidence at their own pace.
Will my dancer be supported if they’re shy or nervous?
We understand that families juggle busy schedules, especially during the summer. Our Primary Program offers flexible enrollment — dancers can register for as few as one class per week or build a fuller schedule of up to ten. This allows families to shape their dancer’s experience around their availability and goals. For Pre-Professional and Company dancers, consistent attendance is key to their technical growth and placement within the program. Make-up class options and attendance policies are outlined in detail on our Tuition & Policies page, so you always know what to expect and how to plan around vacations or other commitments.
